MaciaLux is an independent directory of independent massage therapists across the United Kingdom. We don't take a cut of bookings and we're not a marketplace — you enquire with the therapist directly. Our job is to make sure the therapists you see are real, qualified and actually working in your area.
What "verified" means on MaciaLux
Every listing is reviewed by a human before it goes live. For studio therapists we check government-issued photo ID, professional qualifications and current public-liability insurance. For mobile therapists who visit clients at home we additionally confirm a registered address and run DBS-style background checks. Listings without complete verification are not published.
Editorial standards
Profile photos must show the therapist themselves — no stock imagery, no AI-generated portraits, and no images that make the profile look like something it isn't. Treatment descriptions must be written by the therapist. Prices shown on MaciaLux are the prices the therapist will charge you.

How listings are moderated
Every profile can be reported by any visitor. Reports are reviewed within one working day. Where a report is upheld the listing is suspended pending correction or removed permanently. We keep an internal record of moderation actions and revisit long-tenured listings periodically to confirm details are still accurate.
